Conference description:

The 25th Annual Heart Disease and Stroke Conference - Getting to the Heart of the Matter will focus on patient care across the specialties of cardiology, vascular medicine, and neurology. The topics will include cardiac stem cell research, new interventions in neuroradiology, palliative care updates, and the impact of nicotine and nutrition. Case studies will highlight patient care in the various specialty practices.

Conference goals:

  • Discuss new treatment strategies across care specialties
  • Identify advancements in stem cell research
  • Discuss the impact of nicotine and nutrition on cardiovascular health

Intended Audience:

This conference is designed for registered nurses, social workers, and all other healthcare professionals interested in the care of cardiac, neurological, and vascular patients.

This conference will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2018 in Phillips Hall, Siebens Building, Mayo Clinic, 100 Second Avenue SW, Rochester, Minnesota.

Registration Details

Register before May 31, 2018 

The conference registration fee of $160 ncludes instructional materials, breakfast, and break refreshments. Lunch will be on your own. Pre-registration is required, and preferred by May 31, 2018.

Out of respect for conference participants, children are restricted from the conference.


If you cancel your participation in this conference, your registration fee, less an administration fee, will be refunded when written notification is received by Mayo Continuing Nursing Education before May 31, 2018 (email: cne@mayo.edu). No refunds will be made on or after May 31, 2018.

Mayo Continuing Nursing Education reserves the right to cancel or postpone any conference due to unforeseen circumstances. In the unlikely event Mayo Continuing Nursing Education must cancel or postpone this conference, Mayo Continuing Nursing Education will refund the registration fee, but is not responsible for any related costs, charges, or expenses to participants, including fees assessed by airline/travel/lodging agencies.
