The 27th Annual Heart Disease and Stroke Conference will focus on patient care across the specialties of cardiology, vascular medicine, and neurology. The topics include artificial intelligence, pharmacy updates, presentation of case studies/panel discussions, and medically relevant cultural beliefs.

Goals:

  • Discuss new treatment strategies across care specialties including genetics, procedures and research updates
  • Identify beliefs across cultures when caring for cardiovascular and stroke patients
  • Describe the significance of spontaneous coronary artery dissection

Intended Audience: 

This conference is designed for registered nurses, social workers, and all other healthcare professionals interested in the care of cardiac, neurological, and vascular patients.

This conference will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, in Phillips Hall, first floor, Siebens Building, Mayo Clinic, 100 Second Avenue SW, Rochester, Minnesota.

Registration Details

Register before April 8, 2020 

The conference registration fee of $160 includes instructional materials, breakfast, and break refreshments. Lunch will be on your own. Pre-registration is required, and preferred by April 8, 2020.

Out of respect for conference participants, children are restricted from the conference.

Cancellations

If you cancel your participation in this conference, your registration fee, less an administration fee, will be refunded when written notification is received by Mayo Continuing Nursing Education before April 8, 2020 (email: cne@mayo.edu). No refunds will be made on or after April 8, 2020.

Mayo Continuing Nursing Education reserves the right to cancel or postpone any conference due to unforeseen circumstances. In the unlikely event Mayo Continuing Nursing Education must cancel or postpone this conference, Mayo Continuing Nursing Education will refund the registration fee, but is not responsible for any related costs, charges, or expenses to participants, including fees assessed by airline/travel/lodging agencies.

Credit

You must complete the evaluation and claim your certificate to earn contact hours. 

Nursing

Participants can earn up to 7.0 ANCC nursing contact hours for attendance at the conference, commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity and completion of the evaluation.
