Overview

Friday, June 14, 2019 

The 2019 Brain Injury Conference will feature a variety of dynamic speakers designed to provide meaningful information to translate into clinical practice and to better assist individuals living with the effects of acquired brain injury.

Goals:

  • Highlight experiences of patients with brain injuries
  • Describe interventions and care related to acquired brain injury
  • Explore strategies that can be used for the long term management of patients with acquired brain injury

Intended Audience: 

This program is designed for physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, recreational therapists, social workers, psychologists, and speech language pathologists. All interested healthcare providers are welcome to attend.

Credit: You must complete the evaluation and claim your certificate to earn contact hours.

ANCC:  Participants can earn up to 7.25 ANCC nursing contact hours for attendance at the conference, commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity and completion of the evaluation.

Social Work: Mayo Clinic Section of Social Work has been designated by the Minnesota Board of Social Work as an approved continuing education provider. This conference fulfills requirements for up to 4.75 continuing education hours.

In support of improving patient care, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

 

Registration Details

Register before Friday, May 24, 2019 

The conference registration fee of $165 includes instructional materials, breakfast, and break refreshments. Lunch will be on your own. Pre-registration is required, and preferred by May 24, 2019.

Out of respect for conference participants, children are restricted from the conference.

Cancellations

If you cancel your participation in this conference, your registration fee, less an administration fee, will be refunded when written notification is received by Mayo Continuing Nursing Education before May 24, 2019 (email: cne@mayo.edu). No refunds will be made on or after May 24, 2019.

Mayo Continuing Nursing Education reserves the right to cancel or postpone any conference due to unforeseen circumstances. In the unlikely event Mayo Continuing Nursing Education must cancel or postpone this conference, Mayo Continuing Nursing Education will refund the registration fee, but is not responsible for any related costs, charges, or expenses to participants, including fees assessed by airline/travel/lodging agencies.
