This course is designed to update the clinical knowledge and skills of those who care for adults with gastroenterology/hepatology diagnoses. Expert faculty will present on multiple topics relevant to medical, surgical, procedural, and research settings. Patient stories will be shared, highlighting the journey of gastric bypass surgery.
Goals:
• Identify current gastroenterology research studies designed to advance the care of patients
• Explore a variety of procedures for gastrointestinal diseases
• Discuss the importance of nutrition for patients with gastrointestinal diseases
Intended Audience:
This conference is designed for nurses and other healthcare professionals providing care for patients with gastrointestinal diagnoses.

Registration Details
Register before October 17, 2019
The conference registration fee of $160 includes instructional materials, breakfast, and break refreshments. Lunch will be on your own. Pre-registration is required, and preferred by October 17, 2019.
Out of respect for conference participants, children are restricted from the conference.
Cancellations
If you cancel your participation in this conference, your registration fee, less an administration fee, will be refunded when written notification is received by Mayo Continuing Nursing Education before October 17, 2019 (email: cne@mayo.edu). No refunds will be made on or after October 17, 2019.
Mayo Continuing Nursing Education reserves the right to cancel or postpone any conference due to unforeseen circumstances. In the unlikely event Mayo Continuing Nursing Education must cancel or postpone this conference, Mayo Continuing Nursing Education will refund the registration fee, but is not responsible for any related costs, charges, or expenses to participants, including fees assessed by airline/travel/lodging agencies.
Credit
You must complete the evaluation and claim your certificate to earn contact hours.
Nursing
Participants can earn up to 7.25 ANCC nursing contact hours for attendance at the conference, commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity and completion of the evaluation.
