Heart failure is a prevalent disease process with debilitating symptoms and costly implications. This half-day conference will highlight key management strategies for nurses and health care providers with relevant clinical case studies. The focus will be on topics to facilitate optimal patient care and outcomes.
- Identify heart failure and pulmonary hypertension clinical presentation
- Describe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic strategies
- Correlate the link between evidence-based knowledge and patient care
This conference is designed for registered nurses, social workers, and all other healthcare professionals interested in the care of cardiac, neurological, and vascular patients.

The conference registration fee of $90 includes instructional materials and break refreshments. Pre-registration is required, and preferred by April 8, 2019.
Out of respect for conference participants, children are restricted from the conference.
If you cancel your participation in this conference, your registration fee, less an administration fee, will be refunded when written notification is received by Mayo Continuing Nursing Education before April 8, 2019 (email: firstname.lastname@example.org). No refunds will be made on or after April 8, 2019.
Mayo Continuing Nursing Education reserves the right to cancel or postpone any conference due to unforeseen circumstances. In the unlikely event Mayo Continuing Nursing Education must cancel or postpone this conference, Mayo Continuing Nursing Education will refund the registration fee, but is not responsible for any related costs, charges, or expenses to participants, including fees assessed by airline/travel/lodging agencies.
You must complete the evaluation and claim your certificate to earn contact hours.
Participants can earn up to 4.5 ANCC nursing contact hours for attendance at the conference, commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity and completion of the evaluation.
In support of improving patient care, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
