Conference Description:
Mayo Clinic Department of Nursing is pleased to announce a two-day symposium for international nurses and international nurse leaders designed to provide an in-depth exposure to the mission, values and systems that have made Mayo Clinic Nursing a recognized leader worldwide. Through presentations, tours, discussions, and question and answer sessions, participants will gain a cohesive understanding of Mayo Clinic’s nursing care delivery.

Exchanging information about professional healthcare practices has been a key component of Mayo Clinic’s philosophy dating back to its origin. Mayo Clinic nurses have been involved in professional nursing exchanges dating back to the 1960s.

This symposium will be conducted in English. For language service questions, please contact the Nurse Visitor and Consulting Program.

Target Audience:
This symposium is designed for international nurses and international nurse leaders practicing in all specialties.

Registration Details

Register before July 31, 2019 

The conference registration fee of $650 includes instructional materials, breakfast, lunch, and break refreshments. Pre-registration is required, and preferred by July 31, 2019. Invoicing for payment will occur following registration.

Please note, this symposium is not open to Mayo Clinic staff.

Out of respect for conference participants, children are restricted from the conference.


If you cancel your participation in this conference, your registration fee, less an administration fee, will be refunded when written notification is received by Mayo Continuing Nursing Education before July 31, 2019 (email: No refunds will be made on or after July 31, 2019.

Mayo Continuing Nursing Education reserves the right to cancel or postpone any conference due to unforeseen circumstances. In the unlikely event Mayo Continuing Nursing Education must cancel or postpone this conference, Mayo Continuing Nursing Education will refund the registration fee, but is not responsible for any related costs, charges, or expenses to participants, including fees assessed by airline/travel/lodging agencies.
