Mayo Continuing Nursing Education is pleased to announce the Medical Surgical Nursing Review Course for 2019. This course is designed to assist in preparation for a nursing certification exam; however, it can also serve as a refresher course. Expert faculty will provide a review of the most current national treatment guidelines and recommendations for best practices in the care of medical and surgical adult patients.
Goals:
- Describe essential components of care for medical and surgical patients
- Identify predisposing risk factors affecting surgical patients and those with medical diseases
- Review current pharmacologic and treatment strategies
- Apply evidence-based recommendations for care practices across the continuum
Intended Audience:
This course is designed for nurses practicing in medical and surgical settings across the continuum of care.

This conference will be held on October 23-24, 2019 in Leighton Auditorium, Siebens Building, Mayo Clinic, 100 Second Avenue SW, Rochester, Minnesota.

Registration Details
Register before October 2, 2019
The conference registration fee of $290 includes instructional materials, breakfast, and break refreshments. Lunch will be on your own. Pre-registration is required, and preferred by October 2, 2019.
Out of respect for conference participants, children are restricted from the conference.
Cancellations
If you cancel your participation in this conference, your registration fee, less an administration fee, will be refunded when written notification is received by Mayo Continuing Nursing Education before October 2, 2019 (email: cne@mayo.edu). No refunds will be made on or after October 2, 2019.
Mayo Continuing Nursing Education reserves the right to cancel or postpone any conference due to unforeseen circumstances. In the unlikely event Mayo Continuing Nursing Education must cancel or postpone this conference, Mayo Continuing Nursing Education will refund the registration fee, but is not responsible for any related costs, charges, or expenses to participants, including fees assessed by airline/travel/lodging agencies.

Credit
You must complete the evaluation and claim your certificate to earn contact hours.
Nursing
Participants can earn up to 13.25 ANCC nursing contact hours for attendance at the conference, commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity and completion of the evaluation.
