Tuesday, August 20, 2019 

The 2019 Mayo Clinic Pediatric Nursing Conference will highlight current trends, research based practice, and quality topics that impact the pediatric population across the continuum of care.

Conference registration includes a call for poster abstracts!

Goals:

  • Explore trends related to child abuse and sex trafficking
  • Examine the care needs for pediatric patients with congenital heart defects
  • Review practices impacting the care of children with autism and eating disorders

 

Intended Audience: This conference is designed for registered nurses and all other interested healthcare professionals who care for pediatric populations in acute, ambulatory, and community-based settings.

This conference will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 in Phillips Hall, Siebens Building, Mayo Clinic, 100 Second Avenue SW, Rochester, Minnesota.

Registration Details

Register before July 30, 2019 

The conference registration fee of $165 includes instructional materials, breakfast, and break refreshments. Lunch will be on your own. Pre-registration is required, and preferred by July 30, 2019.

Out of respect for conference participants, children are restricted from the conference.

Cancellations

If you cancel your participation in this conference, your registration fee, less an administration fee, will be refunded when written notification is received by Mayo Continuing Nursing Education before July 30, 2019 (email: cne@mayo.edu). No refunds will be made on or after July 30, 2019.

Mayo Continuing Nursing Education reserves the right to cancel or postpone any conference due to unforeseen circumstances. In the unlikely event Mayo Continuing Nursing Education must cancel or postpone this conference, Mayo Continuing Nursing Education will refund the registration fee, but is not responsible for any related costs, charges, or expenses to participants, including fees assessed by airline/travel/lodging agencies.

Call for Poster Abstracts

You are invited to submit a poster abstract for the Pediatric Nursing Conference. This poster session is a great opportunity to network with peers and share your knowledge. Healthcare professionals specializing in caring of pediatric patients will be interested in learning about the most up-to-date information related to pediatric care in a variety of settings.

The posters will be accepted based on the following criteria:

  • Topic is relevant to the pediatric population and applicable to nursing
  • Abstract is clear and concise and at minimum includes :
    • Description of the project
    • Implementation strategies
    • Evaluation methodology

Submission signifies the intent of the submitter(s) to present the poster at the August 20, 2019, Pediatric Nursing Conference in Rochester, Minnesota. Conference participants are expected to assume costs related to travel, accommodations, and registration.

To submit an abstract, you must register for the conference and submit your completed abstract by July 16, 2019. Notification of final abstract selections will be made by July 24, 2019.
